Turning 40 – It’s All About the Journey is a collaborative work in progress focused on this major life event.

Is it coming up? Did you just turn? Was it a pivitol time for you? Did you sleep right through it? Was it everything you wanted it to be? Do you have what you want? How has it changed your outlook on life? Now What?!

This site invites you to share your experience of one of the most important turning points in your life so that you and others can teach and learn, inspire and be inspired, challenge and be challenged, and experience Turning 40 to the fullest.

I had my 40th birthday this past October and boy was it a real wake up call. I literally woke up that morning and thought “wow, so that was 40 years! It went by so fast.” I took some time to evaluate what I had achieved in those 40 years and found that while from the outside it appeared I had achieved ’success,’ most of it wasn’t planned by me and I didn’t have a clear idea of where I wanted to go next. So I decided to make what I hope will be at least the next 40+ years based on my plan, my dreams and aspirations for me and my family. Through a series of events, discussions and activities, I created a plan that is inspiring to me and my family. It is clear and measurable and it allows me to focus on my personal priorities.

Here are some of the topics I hope we can share here:

  • Getting Real: Those years are gone – make the most of what’s left
  • Achieving Your Dreams: Getting what you want
  • Managing Time: Making the most of the time you have left
  • Motivation: Accessing the drive to make changes
  • Stop Procrastinating: Stop wasting time
  • Reach for the Stars: Setting wild goals, creating action plans, and achievingthe results you want
  • Blame No One: Moving past the ‘inner stories’ that have held you back
  • Fitness: You only have one body – treat it with respect
  • Work/Career: Building a business with your biggest asset: YOU
  • Wealth/Money: Achieving financial abundance without compromising your integrity
  • Developing Strong Relationships: Be an active participant in all human interactions
  • Write it Down: Putting the plan on paper and sharing it with others
  • Giving Up Toxic Relationships: Stop giving your power away
  • Serenity: Finding inner peace
  • Consciousness: Becoming aware and present

Of course, these topics are just a starting point. You are free to add topics and share what moves you at the moment. I look forward to sharing this experience with you.
