Turning 40 & Having Kids Put Brad Pitt’s Life in Perspective

Brad Pitt is amazed when he looks back on the past 18 months of his life because there has been so many dramatic changes. Pitt split from ex-wife Jennifer Aniston in January 2005 and began dating his Angelina Jolie. By December, Pitt announced he was applying to be the adoptive father of Jolie’s already adopted children Maddox and Zahara Marley.

And in May this year, Jolie gave birth to the couple’s first biological child Shiloh Nouvel in Namibia.

Pitt says, “The change has been immense. I’ve become a father, turned 40, and I’ve become more clear on the direction that I’d like to take and the things that speak to me. In my younger days I was more of drifter. I’d try many things – I’d try anything. But now there’s a real pride in understanding myself and what’s important to me and my values.

“I still value the work I do, but at the same time I value more getting home to the kids. Maybe it was turning 40 as well. There were certain things I wanted to attack and it seems to work. I go back to the kids and it just makes me more efficient and I get the things done, whereas before I probably meandered and drifted more.”

turning 40 is kinda whoa for me and iam 35, iam no longer the hottie i was at 20 and it's been like that for me for sometime, also i got a reality check when i was out at a club at 30 with my attractive 23 year old cousin, she got all the attention and i got none, and sometimes people have to decide that iam pretty after they warm up to me after talking, it's a scary feeling to be almost at the cusp of 40 and still single. seems no one wants the silver but the gold.
