Possible Mid Life Crisis?

I seem to be on a self-improvement kick lately. First, I started with acupuncture sessions for my back pain. Then, I purchased a tooth-whitening kit from the dentist. Last week, I got a new haircut and some spiffy highlights. Today, I went in for my annual eye exam…okay, “annual” is a bit of a stretch, since it’s been five years since I had an eye exam. As I suspected, the print on street signs is NOT getting smaller; my astigmatism is actually getting worse. So, I was forced to order new funky eyeglasses:

The colors are slightly different in person — the frames are a dark purple and the accents are more blue.

None of this has anything whatsoever to do with the fact that I will be turning 40 in a few months.

Not at all.
