I am not married and still do not have any kids. My boyfriend has two eight year old children. I am not wanting to settle that I won’t have kids and I do not own my own home yet. I live in a condo. The popular identity says she has reached the point of her career where she is wondering if she has an expiry date.

“I turned 40 four months ago, I’ve been in TV for 20 years, you do ask yourself these questions – how much longer should I do it?,” McGuinness said.

“When have you passed your use-by date? Women in the media probably ask it more.”

Since the young reporter stepped into the newsreader’s chair in 1988, the mother-of-four has built up a loyal viewer base and says she wants to stay “as long as audiences will have me”.
