Thanks for visiting Turning 40! If you're new here, please take a moment to share your experience of Turning 40 and subscribe to my RSS feed. Have a great day!

I’m turning 40 soon. I am not married and still do not have any kids. My boyfriend has two eight year old children. I am not wanting to settle that I won’t have kids and I do not own my own home yet. I live in a condo. Can dreams still happen after 40? I am getting really bummed out about this. Not sure where to turn.

But AdelaideNow visitors are overwhelmingly of the same mind. They want Georgie girl to keep on keeping on.

More than 1000 visitors had cast their vote last night. More are expected to agree in the next 24 hours.

The popular identity says she has reached the point of her career where she is wondering if she has an expiry date.

“I turned 40 four months ago, I’ve been in TV for 20 years, you do ask yourself these questions – how much longer should I do it?,” McGuinness said.

“When have you passed your use-by date? Women in the media probably ask it more.”

Since the young reporter stepped into the newsreader’s chair in 1988, the mother-of-four has built up a loyal viewer base and says she wants to stay “as long as audiences will have me”.
